What is The Doxies Library?
The Doxies Library is a romance book subscription service that delivers beautifully curated boxes straight to your door. Each box features a handpicked romance novel and themed items designed to enhance your reading experience — from cozy treats to luxe accessories.
How does the subscription work?
Classic romance boxes are designed to be subscription based. Subscribe month-to-month, for 3 months, 6 months, or for a full year. Once subscribed, you’ll receive your box on our regular shipping schedule, filled with stories and surprises that match your favorite tropes and reading preferences.
When will I receive my box?
Standard Boxes ship at the end of each month with the intent of arriving at your doorstep the first week of the month.
For example:
Ordering window: Nov 1-25
Packing and shipping window: Nov 26-30.
Receipt date: Dec 1-7
Quarterly VIP Luxe Boxes and Mini Book Bundles ship 3-5 business days after your order is confirmed.

Can I customize my box?
Absolutely! You can choose your favorite romance tropes, beverage type, and general spice level when subscribing. Some seasonal boxes will include customization add-ons, exclusive upgrades, and seasonal surprise gifts.
While we strongly recommend letting us pick your title for you (this is all part of the fun) you can request a specific title in your order. If we have it in stock, we will send it to you or pick a title that closely resembles the nature of that book.
What if I have allergies or sensitivities?
During checkout, you can note any allergies or sensitivities. We take great care in selecting products, but substitutions may be made when necessary to ensure safety and comfort.
Can I send a box as a gift?
Yes! You can gift a single box or a full subscription. Gift orders include a personalized message card and can be shipped directly to the recipient.
How much is shipping?
We offer flat-rate U.S. shipping at $8.95 per box. Orders over $150 ship free. All boxes are shipped from Florida and typically arrive within 3–5 business days once dispatched. Once the package is received by the carrier any delays or delivery issues should be addressed with them before contacting us.
What is your return or refund policy?
Because of the limited-edition nature/quantity of our boxes, returns are not accepted once shipped. However, if an item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right.
How can I join The Doxies Book Club?
Book Club sign-ups are open every other month.

The book of the month is a complete MYSTERY and is NOT a title included in the subscription book boxes or other products. Included merch will be EXCLUSIVE to that title and also not available for purchase or included in other products. Each BOTM drop will have different content than the preceding BOTM.
During the order month our Tik Tok and Instagram accounts will be filled with teasers of what the next BOTM will be like. The discussion forum/thread for that title will go live on the 1st day of the receive month. Due to the nature of the content in the books this is exclusive for members 18 and older.
New members will receive a book journal and exclusive merch with their first BOTM, enjoy private access to the BC forum for discussions, live chapter readings, community meetups, and surprise drops. Follow us on Instagram or sign up for our newsletter for the next enrollment date and additional information will be posted on our website and social media.
When do the VIP Boxes launch and what do I get with them?
VIP boxes are carefully designed, contain meticulously selected hardbacks, and created for true romantics and collectors. This exclusive quarterly box is a work of art — featuring a limited quantity premium or special-edition romance novel, luxe gifts, and artisan items designed to immerse you in the story’s world.

Where do you source your titles and merchandise?
At The Doxies Library, we carefully source our romance titles from a mix of publishers, independent authors, and small press distributors to bring you a rich variety of stories and voices.
Our partnerships include major book distributors, indie publishing houses, and direct collaborations with rising romance authors to ensure every title we feature is both high-quality and uniquely engaging. We focus on books that align with current reader trends — from spicy contemporary love stories to dark and mysterious slow burns — and often spotlight underrepresented voices in the romance community.
Every book is hand-selected by our team (and occasionally “approved by the Doxies themselves”) to guarantee a balance of passion, emotion, and immersive storytelling in every box.
We support small businesses therefore we source most of the box items directly from small business shops either through Faire, Etsy, Patreon or their online stores. Follow us on Instagram for occasional highlights of these businesses.
What if I receive the same book or a title I already own?
We do our best to source high-quality romance paperbacks/hardcovers with sprayed-edges or foiled covers that are special/collectors/deluxe editions and appeal to a wide range of readers. All orders are maintained, updated, and customer profile meticulously verified before a subscriber’s next order is filled. However, we are human and although we do our best, error is unavoidable.
If you receive a book we have already sent you, simply contact us at support@thedoxieslibrary.com within 7 days of delivery. We offer two easy options:
Discount as a credit — Receive a 50% discount code towards your next box or purchase.
Swap Donation — You can donate your duplicate book through our Doxies Book Exchange program, and we’ll send a replacement book or thank-you gift (equivalent to the cost of a title) in your next shipment.
Our goal is to ensure every box feels like a new experience — no matter how full your bookshelf already is.
What is The Doxies Book Exchange Program?
The Doxies Book Exchange Program is our way of keeping every story loved — even if it’s been read before. If you receive a duplicate title from our store or simply want to pass along a book you’ve received from us, you can send it back to us OR donate it locally (and send us proof).
In return, you’ll receive a small thank-you gift or credit toward a future box. Donated books are shared through our partner libraries, women’s shelters, and community reading drives to help spread the joy of reading and connection. It’s our way of turning duplicates into discoveries — one book lover at a time.
